BREAKING: WWE Women’s World Championship plans have shifted following Naomi‘s proclamation that she is relinquishing the title due to pregnancy. The change impacts stephanie Vaquer’s scheduled championship match at Clash in Paris.
despite the alteration, WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has assured Vaquer that she will still receive a championship opportunity, albeit against a different opponent at a later date. The progress was discussed on the “WWE Raw Recap,” where Judgment Day member Roxanne Perez voiced her opinion on the situation.
“I think anyone in the Judgment Day should be in that match with Stephanie, because I think the only people that deserve any championships, for that matter, is the Judgment Day,” Perez stated. “So, yeah, sure, throw me in, throw Raquel [Rodriguez] in. As long as it’s in Judgment Day, that’s all that matters.”
Perez and fellow Judgment Day member Raquel Rodriguez previously held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Both have also experienced singles success, having each been crowned NXT Women’s Champion. Though,a singles title reign on WWE’s main roster remains elusive for both competitors. Liv Morgan, another member of Judgment Day, previously held the WWE Women’s world Championship from May 2024 to January 2025, but is currently unable to compete due to a shoulder injury sustained in January 2025, making her unavailable for a potential match against Vaquer.
Pearce has indicated that he has identified a new opponent for Vaquer, but requires a week to finalize the details and officially announce the matchup. Vaquer, a former NXT Women’s Champion and NXT Women’s North American Champion, has expressed confidence in her readiness to face whoever is selected.
The WWE Women’s World Championship was established in 2024 as a secondary women’s title on the Raw brand, complementing the WWE Women’s Championship on SmackDown. Naomi won the title at WrestleMania XL in April 2024, defeating Rhea Ripley.
