WILLIAMSPORT, PA – ‌The Mountain Region team ⁣secured a⁢ spot in the Little League World Series championship game, defeating the Metro Region 8-7‍ in a nail-biting contest at Howard J. Lamade Stadium on Saturday.

The Mountain Region team, representing the⁣ states of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and Idaho,⁤ will face Nevada in the championship.⁤ Nevada advanced after a victory earlier in the day.

Aruba’s⁤ jayderick Wederfoor showcased resilience on ‌the mound, escaping a bases-loaded‍ situation with⁢ no⁣ outs to limit the damage⁢ against the Metro ⁢Region. The Metro ⁣region represents New York city.
