Daytona International Speedway is set to roar back to life this weekend, hosting both the ⁣NASCAR Xfinity‌ Series Wawa 250 and the pivotal Coke Zero Sugar 400. the Xfinity Series kicks off the action ‍Friday ‌evening, while the Cup Series concludes its regular season Saturday night.

Wawa ⁢250: Friday Night Racing

The Wawa​ 250 is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.​ Eastern Time on Friday, August 22. Qualifying sessions will precede the main event, setting the stage for an exciting night ‍of competition at the iconic 2.5-mile tri-oval track. Last yearS race⁢ saw Ryan Truex claim victory, but ⁣a new champion will be crowned in 2025.

Connor zilisch, ‌driving the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet, enters the‌ race as a strong contender. He ⁢recently secured ‌a win at Watkins Glen and has impressively claimed the checkered flag in five of the last eight Xfinity races.

Jesse Love, ⁢with a previous Daytona victory under his ⁣belt from February, ​is also a driver to watch. Veteran racers Justin ‌Allgaier‌ and Austin‍ Hill add to the competitive field, both having⁣ previously tasted success at‍ Daytona.
