Arizona Triathlon announces 2025 Schedule, First Home Race
TUCSON, Ariz. - Arizona Triathlon unveiled its complete 2025 competition schedule on Friday, highlighted by the programS inaugural home race. Head Coach Wes Johnson will lead a team returning ten triathletes from the 2024 National Championship squad, including senior Kelly lyn wetteland and sophomore Margareta Vrablova, who achieved second and third place respectively at the 2024 National Championship. The Wildcats will welcome Jenna Gilhooly as the team’s sole freshman addition for the upcoming season.Arizona will kick off the season with two road races, beginning with the southern Hills Collegiate Cup on August 30 in South Dakota. Following this, the team will travel to Colorado for the Grand Junction Desert Heat Collegiate Cup on September 13.
The Wildcats will host thier first-ever home race on September 20. specific details regarding the event will be released at a later date.
Arizona’s schedule continues with the NCAA West National Qualifier on October 26 in Fort Worth,Texas,culminating in the USA Triathlon National Championship on November 8 in Tempe,Arizona.
