Jamestown, NY – Jamestown Community College (JCC) is launching a new initiative to make higher education accessible to adult learners through the SUNY Reconnect program, offering tuition-free opportunities in high-demand fields. The program aims to address workforce gaps and provide pathways to career advancement for individuals seeking to reskill or upskill.
SUNY Reconnect provides eligible New Yorkers with tuition assistance for degree programs leading to careers in healthcare, computer technology, education, and advanced manufacturing. JCC is specifically highlighting programs in these areas to align with regional employment needs, especially within Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.
JCC will host two virtual information sessions this week. The first, open to all interested individuals, is scheduled for tonight, August 8th, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Participants can join the session using the following link: sunyjcc.edu/Reconnect.
A second session,exclusively for students who have already been accepted into the SUNY Reconnect program,will take place on Wednesday,August 13th,from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This session will focus on onboarding and next steps for enrolled students.
