Buenos Aires – Morena Rial, daughter of Argentine media personality Jorge Rial, experienced a delay on the General Paz Highway on the evening of November 29, 2023, prompting speculation and a police check. Initial reports suggested a more serious incident, but authorities have since clarified the situation.
According to statements from journalist Pablo Ochoa, who spoke on the América TV programme “Los Ángeles de la Mañana,” Rial and a companion, identified as Rosmary, were stopped by authorities while traveling in Rosmary’s vehicle. A key issue contributing to the two-hour delay was the lack of printed insurance documentation. While digital insurance was available, officers requested a physical copy.
Ochoa further stated that Morena Rial and Rosmary did not possess the necessary vehicle registration papers at the time of the stop. Rosmary was described as someone Rial met through Umbanda religious instruction. A third individual was reportedly with the printed insurance documents, allowing Rial to continue her journey towards the Lugano neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
