Rubik Navigates Solo Miami Life as Family Visits Poland
Composer Faces Quiet Home and Poolside Distractions
Composer Piotr Rubik is experiencing a period of solitude in his Miami, Florida residence as his wife, Agata Rubik, and their daughters have traveled to Poland. The family relocated to the Sunshine State in July 2023, with the move facilitated to allow their daughters to attend an American school, though Rubik considers Miami his “place on earth.”
A Quiet Miami Residence
The normally lively Rubik household has fallen silent, with Piotr Rubik himself sharing his current state of affairs on Instagram. His wife and daughters are visiting Agata Rubik‘s parents, leaving him to navigate the days with only his dog, Kudzi, for company.
He described the initial moments of his temporary bachelorhood: As you know, the girls went to Poland to visit their grandmother and grandfather. I was alone from Kudzi [Rubik’s dog]. So today the first day of loneliness. Kudzi totally sad, she doesn’t enjoy her. Now we went out to lizards, squirrels, so it has a little entertainment.
In addition to missing, I started to clean up. I took order in documents, papers, repaired the bathroom door. I am very brave, we manage somehow, so we’ll see how it will be.—Piotr Rubik
Seeking Solace, Finding Commotion
To unwind after a day of domestic tasks, Rubik sought relaxation by the pool. However, his attempt at peace was met with an unexpected disruption. According to a 2022 survey by the National Sleep Foundation, 35% of adults report feeling stressed when their sleep is interrupted, highlighting a common desire for tranquility in leisure time.
He posed a question to his followers: You also have it that when you go to the pool, there will always be a group of young children participating in the scream record breaking competition?
The composer conveyed his irritation with the situation.
Ultimately, Rubik managed to carve out a peaceful hour. I crazy two hours above the pool, now I can lie on an hour on the terrace. He slowly becomes a master of time organization,
he concluded, reflecting on his growing proficiency in managing his solitude.
