The surprise was orchestrated by Wilson’s mother, who had previously posted a TikTok video of her daughter singing karaoke at age 16. The video gained significant traction, reportedly reaching nearly a million views, and caught the attention of an “America’s Got Talent” producer.
During the event, Wilson’s mother excused herself to go to the “bathroom.” When Wilson was prevented from checking on her, she assumed the next act was about to perform. To her astonishment, her mother walked onto the stage with a microphone. Wilson’s mother explained to the judges that she was there to surprise her daughter and had nominated Anna to audition.
