Wendy’s, the renowned American fast-food resturant chain, is reportedly making a return to Hungary.Franchising.hu reported on Thursday that the company is actively searching for franchise partners within Hungary who possess a deep understanding of the local market,significant business acumen,and a strong commitment to the brand’s core values. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Hungary’s operational and real estate landscape and capable of executing ambitious development plans.

Confirming the news in response to inquiries from Telex, Wendy’s stated, “Wendy’s strong world brand is committed to having 2000 restaurants by 2028. For growth, we are actively looking for our franchise partners who would build and operate new Wendy’s restaurants in Hungary. We are excited to grow wiht us and bring more consumers to Wendy’s famous products across Europe.”

Previously, Wendy’s operated seven restaurants in Hungary before its departure from the Hungarian market in 2002.
