Giants Rookie QB Jaxson Dart Struggles in Frist Training Camp Practice; Thomas, Gray Land on PUP List
New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart experienced a challenging start to his first training camp practice, throwing three completions on seven attempts wiht one interception and one touchdown during live drills. His initial pass of the summer was returned for a touchdown by cornerback Nic Jones. Coach Brian DabollS advice to the young signal-caller was simple: “Next play.”

In other team news,the Giants placed standout left tackle Andrew Thomas and running back Eric Gray on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list as training camp commenced on Tuesday,July 22nd. The team also signed safety K’Von Wallace, waived safety anthony johnson Jr., and placed outside linebacker Victor dimukeje on the non-football injury list.
Thomas, who underwent Lisfranc surgery late last year, has not offered a definitive timeline for his return, stating recently that they would “not try to make any predictions” about his availability for Week 1 against Washington. Sources indicate the Giants intend to manage Thomas’s workload conservatively this summer, aiming for him to be ready for the season opener after missing the final 10 games of the previous season.
