Tatra Trucks is set to deliver a significant number of heavy-duty vehicles to the czech Ministry of Defense, wiht Slovakia also participating in the procurement. This collaboration aims to enhance efficiency and reduce costs for both nations’ defence ministries.
The Czech Republic plans to acquire 872 Tatra trucks, specifically the Tatra T-815 model, across three variants. This acquisition is scheduled to be completed by 2031 and will serve as a replacement for the military’s current fleet of outdated vehicles. Initial deliveries of these trucks have already commenced. Slovakia has expressed interest in procuring hundreds of these vehicles in various configurations.
