Tyler, the Creator’s Don’t Tap the Glass Release Date

Tyler, the Creator is set too drop his latest album, Don’t Tap the Glass, on Monday, July 21. This marks his second consecutive album release on a Monday, a departure from the industry’s typical Friday release schedule.

The declaration was subtly made during a performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Friday night, where the artist revealed the album’s title. an accompanying installation at the venue also featured the album’s artwork and title. He later confirmed the news via an Instagram post shared on Saturday morning.

Don’t Tap the Glass will be Tyler, the Creator’s ninth studio album. His previous release,Chromakopia,arrived in October 2024 and featured a notable lineup including Lil Wayne,Sexyy Red,Daniel caesar,Doechii,GloRilla,LaToiya Williams,Lola Young,Santigold,Schoolboy Q,and Teezo Touchdown.

In a 2023 interview with Nardwuar,Tyler,the Creator discussed his preference for releasing music earlier in the week. He suggested that Tuesdays might be a more effective day for music releases, arguing that Friday releases can led to more “passive listening” due to weekend activities like parties or gym sessions, where listeners may not be fully engaged with the music.

Beyond his music career, Tyler, the Creator recently completed filming for Josh Safdie’s upcoming film, Marty Supreme. The movie, slated for release on Christmas Day from A24, stars Timothée Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow, and will serve as Tyler’s feature film acting debut.
