Battle with Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt and White Flare on Pokémon TCG Live

Pokémon TCG Live Gets Unova Region & New Features July 17

Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt and White Flare Arrive with Card Dex and Booster Pack Updates

Pokémon TCG players on Pokémon TCG Live can prepare for a significant update next year. Two new expansions, Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt and Scarlet & Violet—White Flare, are set to launch on July 17, 2025, bringing the Unova region’s Pokémon to the digital battlefield.

Unova Region Arrives in Digital Format

This expansion introduces every Pokémon from the Unova region, including powerful Legendary and Mythical creatures. Players will be able to reunite with the first partner Pokémon Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott, evolving them to their final forms and experiencing their strength in new battles.

Enhanced Player Experience with Card Dex

Beyond new cards, a new feature called the Card Dex will offer a more immersive way to track progress. This tool allows players to easily identify desired cards and prioritize their collection goals.

Battle Pass Adjustments and Booster Pack Boost

In anticipation of the new content, adjustments have been made to the Battle Pass. Daily quests and rewards are being fine-tuned for smoother player progression and more consistent rewards. Additionally, booster packs in Pokémon TCG Live will now contain 10 cards, an increase from the previous six.

The game’s ongoing popularity is evident, with the Pokémon Trading Card Game consistently ranking among the top trading card games globally. In 2023, the Pokémon TCG generated an estimated $1.8 billion in revenue worldwide (Source: Statista, 2024).

Players are encouraged to explore the new cards, build formidable decks, and utilize the innovative Card Dex feature.
