Teyana Taylor is opening up about her new relationship wiht Aaron Pierre,describing him as someone who handles her with gentleness and care.
In an interview with Complex’s Jordan Rose, taylor likened herself to a “cup of tea,” explaining that she needs to be handled delicately to avoid being “burned.” She stated that Pierre’s gentle approach makes her feel “warm and safe” and allows her to escape “survival mode.”
The couple, whose relationship began to gain attention after speculation, officially confirmed their romance in May through a short film for Taylor’s forthcoming album, Escape Room. This album is scheduled for release in August and marks her first project since 2020’s The Album.
Beyond her personal life, Taylor recently shared that she has enrolled in culinary school, a move that stems from a lifelong passion for cooking and baking.
Taylor expressed her excitement about her first day of culinary school in an Instagram post, giving a shout-out to her “Twinskiiiiiii Junebuggggggg.” She elaborated on her deep connection to cooking, calling it her “passion, my peace, my therapy” since childhood. She recalled watching the women in her family cook with love and joy, which inspired her own culinary journey.
Taylor revealed that by the age of 13 or 14, she was already known as the “hood Betty Crocker” in Harlem, baking cakes for neighbors and demonstrating an early entrepreneurial spirit that she says has never faded.
