Montenegrin club Budućnost is embroiled in scandal just one day before their crucial Champions League qualifier against Armenia’s Noah. But the problem isn’t on the pitch — it’s in the club’s offices, where Montenegro’s Special Police Directorate (SPO) arrived on the morning of July 7 with a search warrant.
What’s happening:
According to Vijesti.me, the operation was sanctioned by the Special Prosecutor’s Office and is related to suspicious youth transfers over the past two years.
Key questionable transfers:

Vasilije Adžić → Juventus (€5.3 million), with nearly €2 million going to A1, a company linked to businessman Branimir Ivanišević, bypassing the player’s official agent.

Viktor Đukanović → Hammarby (€1.1 million), with €310,000 paid to several agencies, including Swiss-based Capet Sports, allegedly obscuring the real recipients.

Andrija Bulatović → Lens, with commissions allegedly paid without club assembly approval.
Former executive director Novak Novaković is also under scrutiny.
Authorities are seizing and analyzing documents. If suspicions are confirmed, Budućnost could face not only disciplinary action but also criminal charges.
The match against Noah will go ahead as scheduled — but Budućnost faces pressure on and off the field.
