Madhya Pradesh Government Suspends Engineers Over Faulty Rail overbridge Design

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, the state government has suspended eight engineers following the revelation of a flawed design in a newly constructed rail overbridge [2]. the overbridge, situated in the Aishbagh area, features a sharp 90-degree turn, raising concerns about its safety and functionality [1].

Engineers Face Action for Design Negligence

The action,initiated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav,includes the suspension of seven engineers from the Public Works Department (PWD),including two chief engineers,and a retired supervisory engineer [2]. The government has also blacklisted the architect firm M/S Puneet Chaddha and the design consultant M/S Dynamic Consultant [3].
