Chris Brown Lawsuit Dismissed, Still Faces Criminal Charges in UK Assault Case
London, UK – July 1, 2025 – A civil lawsuit filed against singer Chris Brown by music producer Abe Diaw has been withdrawn, potentially signaling a settlement between the two parties [[1]]. Diaw accused Brown of assaulting him with a tequila bottle at a London nightclub in 2023, alleging Brown continued the attack while Diaw was unconscious on the ground. The dismissal was filed “without prejudice,” meaning Diaw cannot refile the lawsuit [[1]].
Despite the withdrawn civil suit, brown still faces criminal charges in the UK related to the incident.
