Focus on Financial Fraud Victims
In a meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to expedite action on all outstanding corruption cases. He also instructed the bureau to assist victims of financial fraud, ensuring the return of their stolen funds without delay.

NAB’s Performance and Recoveries
The NAB presented a two-year performance report, highlighting the recovery of billions of rupees misappropriated through corruption. Recoveries came from both the NAB headquarters and its regional offices. The bureau also reported completing 700 inquiries, initiating 218 investigations, and filing 21 new corruption references during 2023-2024.
