Women’s PGA Championship Purse Soars to $12 Million
The Women’s PGA Championship has significantly increased its prize money, now matching the U.S. Women’s Open for the richest purse of the season. This boost underscores the growing value of women’s golf and its players.
Increased Prize Money Details
The total purse for the major tournament has been raised to $12 million. Furthermore, the victor of the competition at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco in Texas will receive $1.8 million. Last year, the purse was set at $10.4 million.

Last year, Amy Yang of South Korea won the Women’s PGA Championship. She secured her first major title at the Sahalee Country Club. Yang finished at 7-under 281, defeating Lilia Vu, Jin Young Ko, and Miyu Yamashita by three strokes.
