Farzi Cafe Set to Ignite New York City’s Culinary Scene

Modern Indian cuisine is poised to make a significant splash in New York City. Renowned chef Zorawar Kalra’s Farzi Cafe plans to open its doors in Tribeca, promising a fresh take on traditional Indian flavors, blended with seasonal New York influences, starting in mid-June 2025.

A Culinary Fusion in Tribeca

Farzi Tribeca, situated at 78 Leonard Street, marks the first New York City location for Kalra’s Massive Restaurants group. Overseeing the kitchen will be chef Gaurav Chawla, a key figure in shaping the Farzi brand’s culinary identity in India. The restaurant’s interior will feature a bold design with distinctive elements, including a bar area.

The menu will blend India’s diverse culinary landscape with seasonal ingredients available in New York City. Guests can anticipate dishes such as Dal Chawal Arancini and Avocado and Raw Mango Chaat, plus new creations crafted just for the NYC location.

New York is the ultimate culinary proving ground. Farzi’s arrival here isn’t just about opening another restaurant — it’s about showcasing India’s new culinary language to the world’s most discerning diners.”
