Jakarta Governor Announces Major Reshuffle to Accelerate Key Programs
Gov. Pramono Anung of Jakarta initiated a important reshuffle within the city administration, appointing 59 high-ranking officials to pivotal roles. This move aims to expedite the implementation of critical initiatives, including public transportation expansion, affordable housing, and enhanced education access.

As assuming office on feb. 20, Gov. Anung has aggressively pursued his campaign promises. His initial actions include:
- Launching new Transjabodetabek bus routes to Tangerang, Banten.
- Introducing the Prosperous Children’s Park, a free preschool program for underprivileged children.
- Relocating evicted Kampung Bayam residents to Kampung Susun Bayam, a low-cost vertical housing complex near Jakarta international Stadium (JIS).
Addressing Past Issues
The relocation of Kampung Bayam residents addresses a long-standing issue. Thes residents had been displaced years prior when their homes were demolished to make way for the construction of the sports complex,under the administration of former Gov. Anies Baswedan.
