A large fire has raged in a cocoa factory in the port of Amsterdam. The fire broke out around 10:30 p.m. on Koffieweg in the Westelijk Havengebied and was under control two hours later, the fire service reports.
According to the fire service, the fire started in a boiler where cocoa shells are processed. The fire had spread through the building. Emergency services were deployed in large numbers to fight the fire.
It is not yet known how the fire started. No one was injured.
