Pole Position for Max Verstappen at the Australian Grand Prix

Dutchman Max Verstappen, “Red All” driver and Formula 1 World Championship leader, will be on pole in the Australian Grand Prix.

  • Verstappen will start from pole position for the 22nd time in his career

Dutchman Max Verstappen, Red Bull driver and Formula 1 world championship leader, will start from first place in the Australian Grand Prix, the third stage in the championship, after leading the official tests, today, Saturday.

This will be the 22nd time in Verstappen’s career that he starts from the first place, after he crossed the “Albert Park” track in a minute, 16 seconds and 732 thousandths of a second, to lead the official tests in which Britain’s George Russell, the “Mercedes” driver, finished second.

Britain’s Lewis Hamilton, Russell’s teammate, will also be in third place, followed by Spain’s Fernando Alonso “Aston Martin” fourth.

Spain’s Carlos Sainz, Ferrari’s driver, starts fifth, followed by Canadian Lance Stroll (Aston Martin).

From seventh place, the driver from Monaco, Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), starts, followed by Thai Alexander Albon (Williams).

Frenchman Pierre Gasly (Alpine) and German Nico Hockenberg (Haas) start ninth and tenth, respectively.
