BALIPORTALNEWS.COMDENPASAR – Efforts to reduce the increase in the number of dengue cases continue to be carried out. One of them is through the Fogging Focus activity carried out by the Denpasar City Health Office, through North Denpasar Health Center III, Saturday (28/1/2023) morning.

From the data collected, there were at least 15 residents’ houses that were targeted by officers this time. The location is around Jalan Astasura I, Banjar Benbiyu, Peguyangan Village.

Head of UPTD Puskesmas III North Denpasar, dr. Ida Bagus Jelantik Manuaba explained that his party continues to intensively make efforts to prevent the spread of DHF.

“We continue to intensively provide education and guidance to residents regarding the 3M plus movement. Such as draining and tightly closing water reservoirs, as well as recycling used rain shelters,” explained dr. Jelantik.

In addition, adding mosquito larvae-eating fish to pots containing aquatic plants can also be a reliable step in preventing the spread of these mosquito larvae.

Community participation, according to dr. Jelantik is very much needed in efforts to prevent the spread of dengue cases. Because in the step of breaking the mosquito life cycle, all members of society can play an active role.

“So we don’t get tired of continuing to appeal to residents, so they can play an active role and work together in efforts to spread the mosquito larvae. DHF,” concluded dr. Jelantik.(bpn)
