3Quency, Winners of Netflix‘s ‘Building the Band,’ Release Debut Single ’Top Down‘
Months after winning the Netflix singing competition Building the Band, the female group 3Quency – comprised of Brianna Mazzola, nori Moore, and Wennely Quezada – has released their first single, “Top Down,” alongside a music video. The release marks the beginning of their journey as a signed act with Records/Columbia Records.Building the Band, which premiered on July 9 and was hosted by AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys, challenged aspiring musicians to form groups and compete for a $500,000 prize. 3Quency ultimately triumphed over the mixed group SZN4 in the finale to claim the victory. Nicole Scherzinger mentored the six groups,while Liam Payne and Kelly Rowland served as judges.
the new R&B track, produced by Tommy Brown (known for his work with Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and The Weeknd), showcases the group’s dynamic and individual talents. “Working with Tommy Brown and his camp is such a blessing,” Mazzola stated to TODAY.com. “He has curated a space where creatives can be who they really are…His ear and musical mind are so rare to come by and he’s a dream to work with.”
Quezada expressed excitement about signing their record deal, calling it “an achievement and dream that all three of us have worked really hard for.” Moore added that filming the music video, directed by Ava Rikki, was a fun experience, saying, “We definitely had a time…it’s always fun to finally see our ideas visually coming together.”
