2026 French Elections: Live Results & Analysis on Midi Libre YouTube
MONTPELLIER, France – For the first time, the second round of France’s municipal elections will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of Midi Libre, the regional newspaper announced Sunday. The broadcast begins at 7:30 PM local time.
Midi Libre’s editor-in-chief, Olivier Marino, will host the program alongside Estelle Devic, deputy editor-in-chief. Reporters Vincent Coste, Karim Maoudj, and Ludovic Trabuchet will contribute to the coverage, providing analysis of voter turnout and early trends in municipalities across the Occitanie region, as well as deciphering the results as they arrive in.
The program will feature political figures including Aurélia Troupel, a political scientist and professor of political science, as well as Senator Hussein Bourgi (PS) and Member of Parliament Sylvain Carrère (LFI).
Midi Libre will also provide live coverage from Nîmes, Montpellier, and Agde, and offer departmental-level live updates throughout the evening. The newspaper is encouraging readers to follow their coverage on midilibre.fr, TikTok, Instagram, Discover, Meta (Facebook), and YouTube.
The broadcast comes as voters head to the polls for the second round of municipal elections in several cities across France, including Montpellier and Sète. Midi Libre has also provided dedicated coverage of the election in Lozère and the Gard departments.
