CRANFORD, N.J. – Two teenage girls were fatally‌ struck by​ an SUV while riding e-bikes ‌in ⁢Cranford, ⁢New Jersey Monday evening, authorities confirmed. The ⁣incident, ⁤which occurred on Burnside Avenue,⁣ has prompted a ⁢Union County Prosecutor’s ⁣Office investigation and the arrest⁤ of a ‍suspect.

The ⁢tragedy underscores the growing risks faced by cyclists​ and ⁤e-bike⁤ riders, particularly in residential areas, and ⁣raises questions about road safety and driver accountability.
