Sun Devil MenS Swimming Secure CSCAA Dual Meet Championship
TEMPE, AZ – Arizona State University’s men’s swimming program has been awarded the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) dual meet championship crown, marking a significant achievement for the team. The Sun Devils concluded their regular season with an unblemished 8-0 record, solidifying their position as a dominant force in collegiate swimming.
This championship recognizes ASU’s consistent performance throughout the season, showcasing the depth and talent within the program. The CSCAA dual meet championship is awarded to the team with the highest winning percentage against a challenging schedule of opponents. This victory underscores Head Coach Bob Bowman’s strategic leadership and the dedication of the athletes.
The Sun Devils excelled in a variety of individual and relay events throughout the season. Notable results included strong performances in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Backstroke, 200 Breaststroke, 500 Free, 100 Fly, and 200 Individual Medley for both men and women.
ASU also demonstrated remarkable strength in relay competitions. The men’s 200 Free Relay team achieved a first-place finish with a time of 1:13.72, while the ‘B’ team secured third place at 1:16.37. The women’s 200 Free Relay team claimed second place with a time of 1:29.99, and the ‘B’ team finished fourth at 1:32.07.
The CSCAA championship adds to the growing momentum of the ASU swimming program as it prepares for the upcoming Pac-12 championships and NCAA Championships. This dual meet title serves as a testament to the team’s hard work and a promising indicator of continued success.
