1 New Portal Launched for Maui County TAT Account Management
The County of Maui Department of Finance launched myMauiTAT on October 16, 2026, a secure online portal for managing Maui County Transient Accommodations Tax accounts.
Portal Allows Users to Manage Accounts and Payments
Operators can access the system at www.mauicounty.gov/tat using computers, tablets, and mobile devices. Through the platform, account holders can make payments, view balances, view filings, and view account activity. The portal also receives due-date reminders, displays official notices, and permits secure correspondence with the County Department of Finance TAT office. Users can also update contact information and communication preferences directly within the system.
Account holders can review filing and payment history dating back to 2021. That year marks when the County of Maui began administering the County TAT locally.
Credit Card Payments Incur Third-Party Processing Fees
Financial transactions within the portal carry distinct processing terms depending on the chosen method. Payments submitted via bank account using eCheck or ACH are free of charge. Credit card transactions incur a processing fee of $2.50 per Transient Accommodations Tax account number, plus 2.5% of the total payment amount. The County’s third-party card processor levies these fees.
Department Leadership Statements
County of Maui Department of Finance Director Marcy Martin outlined the operational goals of the new software. “With the launch of myMauiTAT, we’re making it easier and more convenient for operators to manage their accounts through a modern, secure online platform,” Martin stated according to the county’s announcement. “This new tool streamlines processes and helps our staff provide more efficient, responsive service to operators.”
