IO Interactive has officially delayed the Nintendo Switch 2 version of its upcoming James Bond title, 007 First Light, until summer 2026.

The developer confirmed that the release window for the Nintendo platform has been shifted to later this summer. This delay is specific to the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game, following previous schedules that had placed the launch earlier.

Project Scope and Narrative

007 First Light is being developed by IO Interactive as an origin story for the James Bond character. The title is intended to explore the beginnings of the agent’s career, providing a modern narrative perspective on the established spy franchise.

Peripheral Releases

Alongside the game’s development, a limited-edition PlayStation controller themed after 007 First Light is being prepared for market. The specialized hardware is expected to be available for order in the near future.

The revised schedule confirms that the Nintendo Switch 2 version will now arrive during the summer 2026 window.
