“Wizardry Variants Daphne” Unveils Samurai Class
Legendary adventurers and special in-game events coming this summer.
Get ready to dive back into the dungeons! Drecom Co., Ltd. has announced a major update to “Wizardry Variants Daphne,” introducing a new character class, limited-time quests, and other additions set to launch on July 10, 2025.
Meet the Samurai
The update’s headliner is the “Samurai,” a new class specializing in solo swordsmanship. These warriors from the East are adept at controlling battles, even against physically stronger foes. They wield a unique weapon called the “Knife,” a single-edged sword capable of channeling magical power for devastating attacks.
Samurai combat emphasizes adaptable stances, balancing offense and defense to exploit enemy weaknesses. While restricted to swords and unable to use shields, their martial arts offer a versatile approach to combat.
Legendary Adventurer: Infinite Sword-Snatcher Lion Sakura
A new legendary adventurer, Infinite Sword-Snatcher Lion Sakura, is also joining the game. This orc, skilled in samurai swordplay, is described as a messenger of romance and the moon. According to the game’s lore, after countless duels, Sakura became known as a master sword-grabber, stating, “My name is Shiying, I have practiced the skills of mirror flowers, wind and moon flow. A warrior who waves his sword with a clear mirror and a clear mind.”
Sakura’s unique skills include:
- [鏡花風月之姿]: A wind attribute physical attack that ignores defense while increasing movement speed, but also increasing damage taken. This skill can only be activated when HP is below 30% and only once per battle.
- [殘花]: Increases attack power and heart for 3 rounds, making the user more likely to be targeted. Successful survival after a damage instance that would reduce HP to 0 improves avoidance, attack power, and understanding for 4 rounds.
These adventurers will be available through special “Rare bones” skeletons during the event, running from July 10 to August 6, 2025 (23:59 JST).
Exclusive Gear and Adventurers
During the event, reversing the “Rare Skeletons: Infinite Sword Snatcher” (including the Special Classic) can yield a special piece of equipment if “Infinite Snatcher Lion Sakura” appears. Available equipment includes Kikuichi characters, Peony flower decoration, and Brave Gear.
Additionally, new adventurers “Wuyuan” and “The nameless human female ninja” will be available from the “Infinite sword-grabbing person” and “Adventurer’s skeleton” skeletons.
Special Supplies and Quests
Players logging in during the event period (July 10 – July 30, 2025) can receive special supplies, including “Rare Skeletons: Infinite Sword Snatcher” and 400 Orga gems. By completing designated tasks between July 10 and July 23, players can earn additional rewards, such as more “Rare Skeletons: Infinite Sword Grabber” and 400 Orga Gems.

Additional Job Transfers
