zuckerberg Stumbles at White house Tech Summit‍ with Trump

WASHINGTON D.C. – Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg found himself in an awkward spotlight at a White House event ⁣Thursday, as an open microphone captured⁢ his admission of being unprepared during a conversation with former President Donald Trump. The gathering brought together some of the world’s most influential tech ‍leaders, including⁢ Apple’s Tim Cook, Bill Gates, Sergey Brin, Sundar Pichai, and Sam Altman.

During dinner, Trump questioned Zuckerberg about planned ‍U.S. investment, to which Zuckerberg initially responded, “At least $600 billion until 2028.” He subsequently‌ conceded he hadn’t fully prepared an answer and apologized to Trump, prompting laughter from the former president⁤ and, reportedly, Melania Trump, ‍who ⁢joked that Zuckerberg didn’t know the figure.

The incident wasn’t isolated. Zuckerberg ⁣also confessed ⁤to “not pay[ing] attention” when a journalist ‍inquired about British freedom of expression, a response trump playfully suggested could‌ launch a political career for the billionaire.

trump lauded the attendees as a “high IQ group,” ‍noting their assistance in ⁢securing necessary permits. The ⁣event ⁤drew attention ⁣from outlets including⁤ the daily Mail. The assembled tech executives⁣ represent a combined wealth exceeding $13 billion.
