ZSC Lions’ Henry Faces Increased competition Despite Championship Season
Zurich – Forward Henry, a key contributor too the ZSC Lions’ championship-winning season, acknowledges the intensifying competition for playing time as the National League season approaches.the 22-year-old, who helped secure both the NL title and the Champions Hockey League crown last year, anticipates a challenge from incoming young talent.
Despite the recent successes, Henry understands that past achievements offer no guarantee of a roster spot. He notes a palpable increase in pressure with the arrival of new players vying for positions. “There are new young people, you can already feel pressure,” Henry stated, emphasizing the need to re-establish his place within the team.
however, Henry is proactively addressing the competitive landscape by assisting the integration of the new recruits. Drawing on his own experience as a newcomer, he’s committed to mentoring the latest additions.”I know what it is like to get new to it. That’s why I am happy to help and tell you what to do and what not,” he explained.
The ZSC lions begin their championship defense next Tuesday with a home game against Biel, providing an immediate prospect for both established players and newcomers to demonstrate their value.
