Cannes, France – April 15, 2025 - Zoland animation is poised to launch its 52-episode historical epic, Legend of King Qian, by the end of the year, showcasing a significant investment in original Chinese storytelling at Mipcom Cannes. Each episode of the series will run approximately 20 minutes and detail the life of Qian Liu, from childhood through his rise as a leader known for justice and righteousness, according to Zoland representative Wong.
The production marks the latest addition to Zoland Animation’s extensive portfolio,which includes original titles like Magic Eye,Magic Wonderland,Rubi Yoyo, and Zheng He’s Voyage to the West. The studio’s content has reached audiences in over 130 countries and regions. Currently, magic Eye is Back airs on ETV bal Bharath in India.
Despite observing a shrinking market at Mipcom over nearly two decades of attendance, Wong affirmed its continued importance. “Despite the shrinking effect, it’s still a crucial marketplace,” she said.”We come here to reconnect with our long-term partners and customers, and to forge new relationships and deals.”
