Football Club Ownership Change
A new investor, Kačena, has become the majority owner of Zbrojovka Brno, completing a nearly year-long change in the club’s ownership structure. The Regional Chamber of Commerce Brno initially acquired a 5% share last September before selling it to the OneCap group around Jan Mynář and Jaroslav Havel. Now, Kačena, a forty-six-year-old entrepreneur and founder of a successful electricity trading company, takes the helm. The investment in the club’s leadership totals nearly eighty million crowns. Current CEO Jan Mynář will remain in his role. The new ownership aims to get Zbrojovka among the leading teams in the first league and build a club representing Brno and South Moravia. Kačena is also involved in education in the Brno area.
