Team Canada’s 4 Nations Roster Revealed, Featuring Hyman and Celebrini
Canada has announced its roster for the upcoming 4 Nations tournament, with forward Zach Hyman and projected first-overall pick Macklin Celebrini among those selected by general manager Doug Button and coach Rick Johnson.
The defensive pairings will see Chris Tanev and Cale Makar form one unit, followed by Shea Theodore and Brett Pesce. Thomas Chabot will be paired with Colton Parayko,and Noah Juulsen will skate alongside Carson Soucy. The final pairing features Jake Bean with Damon Severson.
On defense, Sanheim will pair with Parayko. sanheim earned a spot on Canada’s 4 Nations team after recording six goals and 27 points in his first 57 games, averaging 25:33 of ice time. He has previously represented Canada twice at the World hockey Championship, winning silver in 2022. Parayko, a veteran of Team Canada with three World Hockey Championship appearances (winning silver in 2017), registered 16 goals and 36 points in 64 games last season with a plus-12 rating and has six assists in 16 games this season.
Harley will suit up alongside Montour. Harley joined Canada mid-tournament in relief of Theodore and Morrissey and appeared in two games, recording an assist. He previously represented Canada at the 2021 World Juniors, finishing with a silver medal, and had a career-high 16 goals and 50 points with the Stars last season. Montour, the only member of the defense corps not on last year’s 4 Nations team, represented Canada at the 2025 World Hockey Championship in a fifth-place finish and was part of the Panthers’ Stanley Cup win in 2024 before registering 18 goals and 41 points in 81 games last season with Seattle.
In net, Jordan Binnington leads the goaltending contingent, aiming to replicate his triumphant performance from last year’s 4 Nations tournament were he went 3-1 with a 2.37 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage.Despite a slow start to the current season (3-5-2 with a 3.34 GAA and .859 save percentage), Canada is banking on his championship experience, having won the Stanley Cup in 2019.
Logan Thompson, currently leading the NHL with a 1.61 GAA and ranking second with a .930 save percentage, will also feature. Thompson was instrumental in the Capitals securing the top spot in the Eastern Conference last season,going 31-6-6 with a 2.49 GAA and .910 save percentage.
Rounding out the goaltending group is Darcy Kuemper, who has been solid since joining the Los Angeles Kings. He went 31-11-7 last season with a 2.02 goals against average and .922 save percentage after being acquired by the Capitals in June of 2024. Kuemper is currently 5-3-3 with a 2.52 GAA and .905 save percentage this season.
