Yuen Long District Councilman Accused of Sexually Assaulting Woman, Allegedly Starting When She Was 12
Hong Kong – Yuen Long District Councilman Shi Junxing is facing allegations of sexual assault and illegal intercourse, stemming from a relationship with a woman that began when she was a primary school student. The woman, identified as “X” in court documents, testified that the incidents occurred over several years, beginning in November 2008 and continuing into 2012.
the case, DCCC907/2024, centers around allegations that Shi Junxing initiated unwanted physical contact with X while she was 12 years old, and that their subsequent relationship involved non-consensual sexual acts.The allegations come amid increased scrutiny of public figures and a growing movement to address sexual misconduct and abuse.
According to X’s testimony, Shi Junxing first approached her near her school gate in November 2008, taking her to Gaoshan road Park where they discussed academics, work, and relationships. She stated that during this meeting, he touched her chest and kissed her neck and ears, despite her attempts to gently push him away. X claims she avoided him following the incident.
The two reconnected in 2010 when Shi Junxing was promoting an online drama, “Memories are beautiful!” X and friends attended a viewing, and Shi Junxing subsequently invited her backstage for a conversation.This led to renewed contact and eventually a romantic relationship, during which he repeatedly expressed a desire for sexual activity.
X testified that on Valentine’s day 2011, Shi Junxing gave her a gift with instructions to return it a month later at his workplace.On March 14, 2011, she went to his residence in Tin Shuiwei, where, according to her account, he removed her clothing and engaged in sexual intercourse without a condom.
X further stated that in 2012, she discovered a selfie of Shi Junxing with another woman on his phone, which he identified as an ex-girlfriend. Following this discovery, the relationship ended.
The case is ongoing, and Shi Junxing has not yet publicly commented on the allegations.
