YouTuber Cyber Fox Apologizes to Actress Han Ga-in Over False Back-Ad Allegations
YouTuber 사망여우 (Cyber Fox) issued a public apology on September 30 via his official YouTube community channel following severe backlash over a targeted video segment regarding actress Han Ga-in. The controversy erupted after the creator published content addressing efficacy and false advertising suspicions surrounding an edible albumin product, which involved a past video where Han introduced the item under the title “한가인이 25년 동안 꾸준히 챙겨 먹은 영양제. PPL 아님”.
Apology and Removal of Shorts Video
In his apology statement, the YouTuber stated, “Regardless of the reason, I apologize to everyone who felt 불편을 느끼신 모든 분께 사과드린다
due to this video.” He explained that although Han had already addressed the matter, he cut out portions regarding her from the albumin video and created a YouTube Shorts clip, which he admitted was an immature and careless judgment. He confirmed that the problematic Shorts video has since been set to private, and offered a direct apology to Han for any unnecessary damage and hurt caused.
Han Ga-in’s Response and Purchase Verification
Prior to the YouTuber’s apology, Han Ga-in released official statements and payment records to counter the back-ad allegations. Through her agency statements, she clarified that the content was a personal purchase made without any compensation or sponsorship, and that her channel follows a strict principle of marking paid advertisements clearly. Although she apologized for sharing health-related information based solely on personal experience without rigorous verification, she released Naver Pay purchase history confirming she bought 90 bottles of the product for 616,000 won on July 23, 2024—prior to opening her YouTube channel—and repurchased it on March 24, 2025, following her November 13, 2024 video upload.
