Young Thug Confirms Split with Mariah The Scientist During Live Stream
During a recent live stream, rapper Young Thug publicly confirmed his breakup with singer Mariah The Scientist. The confirmation came while discussing relationships and personal life choices, ending months of speculation fueled by social media activity and a lack of public appearances together.
The split marks the end of a high-profile relationship that captivated fans since going public in 2023. Both artists have remained relatively private about their personal lives, making the confirmation notably notable. the breakup follows Thug’s recent release from jail on Oct. 31, 2024, and the subsequent release of his album, Uy Scuti.
Elsewhere in the stream, Thug shared his viewpoint on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar rivalry, ultimately siding with Drake based on his broader impact. “I gotta say Drake, he just did more, he put more people on. Not saying Kendrick didn’t put nobody on, but drake just did more… got more numbers. Numbers-wise, statistically, impact on the culture, impact on the world,” he stated. He did, though, acknowledge Kendrick Lamar as “without a doubt number one in life that could possibly come out of LA… the GOAT of the whole West coast,” and even briefly named Nipsey Hussle as a personal favorite before reiterating Kendrick’s statistical lead.
Thug also named his Mount Rushmore of Atlanta rappers, including Future, Playboi Carti, André 3000, and himself.
His latest studio album, Uy Scuti, features collaborations with Travis Scott, Mariah The scientist, T.I.,Ken Carson,Sexyy Red,Lil Baby,21 Savage, and Cardi B. It followed BUSINESS IS BUSINESS, released in 2023 while Thug was incarcerated facing RICO charges.
