Fans are revisiting standout moments from Young Thug’s candid “Perspektives with Bank” interview thanks to a new animated adaptation by artist Deege. The clip, released Thursday (october 2), brings to life some of the Atlanta rapper’s most memorable and humorous lines from the nearly three-hour conversation, quickly gaining traction online.
The animation arrives amid continued public interest surrounding Young Thug following his release from jail in connection with the YSL RICO case and the subsequent surfacing of leaked jail calls in August. Deege’s work specifically highlights viral quotes regarding Thug’s relationship with Gunna, explanations for his delayed music releases, and his reflections on the legal proceedings and plea deals involving associates like Unfoonk and Lil Duke.
Deege’s animation recreates Thug’s claim that Gunna did not send him financial support while incarcerated, with the rapper humorously lamenting, “Gunna didn’t send no bankroll to Thug,” mirroring the original interview. The cartoon also depicts Thug’s assertion that he played a role in Gunna’s career, stating, “Nga, I created you, nga,” before clarifying, “Well, God created you, but I helped.”
The animation further visualizes Thug’s rhetorical question, “How the hell can you go against the grain?” by transforming him into a loaf of bread. The original interview saw Thug address the leaked phone calls, YSL plea deals, and his mindset following his release.
