Brazilian education group Yduqs has seen an 85% increase in student enrollments through WhatsApp, driven by the implementation of AI-powered conversational tools, the company announced Wednesday.
The surge in registrations – 49,000 new enrollments between November 2024 and April 2025 – represents a significant boost compared to the same period in the previous cycle. Yduqs, which operates universities including Estácio, Ibmec, Wyden, and IDOMED, has prioritized WhatsApp as a key channel for student engagement.
The company’s strategy centers on a “click-to-WhatsApp” advertising format, directing users from Google searches directly into conversations on the messaging app. This is powered by technology from Blip, a conversational AI platform, and Skeps, a business-tech firm specializing in intelligent conversational journeys.
According to Yduqs, the new system has also yielded a 25% reduction in the cost per enrollment (CPI) and a 45% decrease in the need for human customer service intervention. Approximately 70% of all enrollments during the six-month period involved some form of interaction via WhatsApp, highlighting the channel’s growing importance to the group’s sales and growth.
“Our focus is on the constant improvement of the student journey, making it increasingly agile and integrated,” said Ana Luzia Lima, Director of Enrollments and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Yduqs. “With this new phase of our digital strategy, we have managed to reduce friction and shorten the enrollment process, offering a personalized experience that follows the behavior of our audience on WhatsApp.”
The company reports a 23% reduction in Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) through the channel during the same period. Yduqs’ target demographic is primarily young adults aged 18 to 35, a digitally native group accustomed to quick and integrated processes.
Patricia Carneiro, Business Director at Blip, stated that Yduqs’ initiative demonstrates the value of automated and personalized interaction strategies in creating a seamless connection between businesses and consumers. “We achieved particularly solid results with Yduqs’ intelligent contact. With the Click to WhatsApp tool, which attracted potential customers on WhatsApp when they accessed an advertising format, we also used generative artificial intelligence to understand intentions and personalize the end-to-end experience, seeking information about courses, defining prices, making enrollments and following the entire end-to-end payment process,” Carneiro said.
