Xbox Game Pass August 2026: New Games, Gears of War E-Day Beta, and Departures

Microsoft has announced the initial wave of games joining Xbox Game Pass for early August 2026, alongside a separate roster of titles scheduled to leave the subscription service soon, according to reports from outlets including 3DJuegos, Vandal, ixbt.games, Areajugones, and Gamereactor. The August lineup introduces eleven additions to the catalog, featuring new releases from the creators of Pokémon as well as access to an upcoming trial build.

New August 2026 Additions to Xbox Game Pass

Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass will gain access to eleven titles during the first half of August 2026, according to reporting by 3DJuegos and Areajugones. Additionally, players can access the upcoming beta test for Gears of War E-Day through the service, as confirmed by Areajugones and Gamereactor.

Gamereactor noted that the higher subscription tiers, specifically Xbox Game Pass Premium, will feature several prominent software additions across the monthly cycle.

Titles Departing the Subscription Service

Alongside the incoming additions, Microsoft confirmed that four games will soon exit the Xbox Game Pass library, according to 3DJuegos.

The scheduled departures make room for the incoming August additions, maintaining a rotating roster of games available to active members across console, PC, and cloud streaming tiers. Microsoft has not yet detailed subsequent batches for the latter half of August, leaving the current focus on the initial wave of eleven arrivals and four departures.
