WWE SmackDown – October 3rd, 2025: 3 Things We Loved & 3 we Hated
SmackDown on October 3rd, 2025, delivered a compelling show built around the simmering tensions within WWE’s dominant faction, the Vision. While the group continues to achieve short-term victories, cracks are undeniably appearing, making for captivating television. Here’s what stood out – both positively and negatively.
Loved:
1.The Vision’s Calculated chaos: The Vision – Seth “Freakin'” Rollins, Paul Heyman, Bronson Reed, and Bron Breakker – are proving to be a uniquely dangerous force. They operate with a ruthless efficiency, prioritizing long-term damage over immediate wins. Their victory over Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes on SmackDown exemplified this, showcasing a willingness to bend (and break) the rules to achieve their goals.
2. Rollins’ Internal conflict: Seth Rollins’ leadership, or lack thereof, is proving to be a fascinating focal point. His ego and impulsive nature were on full display during the main event. Despite Heyman’s warnings, Rollins couldn’t resist the prospect to engage with Rhodes, ultimately leading to a Cross Rhodes and a meaningful setback. This internal struggle is adding layers to Rollins’ character.
3. The Dynamic Within The Vision: The friction between the members of The Vision is undeniably compelling. The audible disagreement between Breakker and Rollins following their win over Orton and Rhodes highlighted a clear power struggle and a lack of unified purpose beyond Rollins’ immediate desires. This volatile dynamic is what makes the group so intriguing.
Hated:
1. Predictable Impulse: While rollins’ impulsive behavior is compelling,it’s becoming a predictable pattern. Heyman explicitly identified the issue – Rollins being baited by Rhodes - and the outcome was almost inevitable. the repetition risks diminishing the impact of these moments.
2. Over-Reliance on Interference: The victory against Orton and Rhodes relied heavily on interference from Heyman, creating a somewhat contrived finish. While interference is a staple of wrestling, the frequency with which The Vision resorts to it feels increasingly reliant on outside assistance rather than showcasing their in-ring dominance.
3. Seeds of Dissolution – Too Soon?: The show heavily emphasized the potential for The Vision’s downfall. While foreshadowing is significant, the constant highlighting of their internal conflicts feels premature. The group is still relatively new, and rushing towards a breakup narrative could undermine their current impact.
