How it effectively works: The Tech Behind the Style
The system’s architecture is relatively straightforward:
- An ESP32-CAM captures an image of the person standing in front of the mirror.
- the image is sent to a laptop for processing.
- The laptop transmits the image to a multimodal model, such as one from chatgpt, along with a prompt instructing it to evaluate the fashion choices with a critical and humorous tone.
Training the AI: Pinterest to the Rescue
To ensure the AI could distinguish between fashionable and unfashionable looks, Kamo IO provided it with additional training data. He turned to Pinterest,which he described as a website with a lot of fashion and stuff on it.
He curated images of styles he liked and fed them to the chatbot.
