Manila, Philippines - The Philippines is hosting the WorldSkills Asean Manila 2025 competition at the Philippine Trade Training Center and World Trade Center in Pasay City, commencing on August 26, 2025. The event, running through August 30, 2025, marks the second time the country has hosted the regional skills showcase.
The competition features young professionals from across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) demonstrating expertise in a variety of technical and vocational trades. Disciplines include welding, carpentry, tile setting, and cabinet making, among others. The primary goal of WorldSkills Asean Manila 2025 is to highlight the skills of Asean youth and promote collaboration between the participating nations.
The opening day saw competitors engaging in intense challenges designed to test their abilities and precision. The event serves as a platform for recognizing and celebrating excellence in skilled trades, contributing to the advancement of a highly competent workforce within the Asean region. The competition aims to foster a spirit of pleasant rivalry and knowledge exchange among participants.
