Women’s Health Luncheon to Benefit Interfaith Community Clinic | Woodlands, TX

March 23, 2026 Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor Health

The Interfaith Community Clinic will host its 12th annual Women Empowering Women Luncheon on April 9th at The Peach Orchard, benefiting the clinic’s services for uninsured and underinsured individuals in Montgomery County. The event, themed “Southern Soirée,” will be presented by Waste Connections and The Huntsman Family Foundation.

This year’s luncheon will feature a Women’s Health and Wellness Panel addressing critical issues facing women, including common medical concerns, debunking health myths, nutrition, hormonal balance, and overall wellness. Dr. Adrienne Blessing will moderate the discussion, with panelists including Dr. Anita Gill of The Gill Center for Plastic Surgery and Dermatology, Dr. Loren Rourke of Woodlands Breast Care, Dr. Cassandra K. Schakett of Houston Methodist Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates, and nutritionist and personal trainer Lauren Lococo.

The Interfaith Community Clinic, founded in 1996 by Dr. Joel Kerschenbaum, provides medical care, counseling, and patient service assistance to qualified, uninsured individuals. Approximately 90% of the clinic’s services are delivered by volunteer licensed professionals. Individuals seeking care must schedule an eligibility interview by calling (281) 364-7889 during business hours – Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday 9:00 am to Noon – and bring identification, proof of income, and proof of address.

Missy Herndon, President and CEO of Interfaith Community Clinic, highlighted the significance of this year’s luncheon, noting it coincides with preparations for the clinic’s 30th anniversary this fall. “For three decades, the clinic has served thousands of individuals and families by providing access to quality healthcare, preventative services, and vital medical and counseling resources for neighbors in need throughout Montgomery County,” Herndon stated.

The luncheon committee includes Dr. Anita Gill, Dr. Adrienne Blessing, Dr. Alysia Robichau, Kym Jackson, Coco Mahoney, Alison Henderson, Jessica Kemp, and Missy Herndon. Truluck’s will provide lunch for the event.
