According to a statement released by the Laredo Police Department, the suspect is a 17-year-old male, and the victim is a 16-year-old male. The shooting occurred on January 23, 2026, at approximately 10:30 PM.First aid for gunshot wounds is critical until medical professionals arrive.
Police recovered a weapon at the scene, and it has been sent for forensic analysis. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. His current condition is unknown. The Laredo Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
