WingXpand Launches xPAIR Universal Core for Multi-Domain Autonomy
One Shared Core for Air, Land, and Sea Fleets
WingXpand has introduced xPAIR, a patent-pending universal autonomous core built to operate across uncrewed aerial, ground, and maritime fleets. The hardware addresses military operational hurdles that traditionally require separate technology pipelines for different domains.
Bridging the Multi-Domain Training Gap
Historically, managing air, ground, and water robotic systems has required military personnel to juggle three distinct technologies, each demanding separate equipment and training programs. WingXpand’s xPAIR unit integrates directly across multiple vehicle types. Operators can insert the core into the company’s xRAI smart plane for wide-area aerial reconnaissance, mount it inside the xTRAIL smart ground vehicle for close-range inspection, or deploy it on the xSAIL smart watercraft for maritime operations.
Built to Adapt as Missions Change
Our military doesn’t need another autonomous system built for one narrow mission. Missions change. xPAIR is designed so autonomous vehicles can change with them, giving operators one common system across air, ground and maritime domains.

Built in the United States and meeting NDAA compliance standards, the shared core provides a common library of AI threat detections, autonomy features, resilient communications, and multi-mission payloads across disparate platforms.
Interoperable Vehicles Accelerate Decision-Making in High-Risk Areas
Because the vehicles share a common user interface, AI capabilities, and payloads, operators can expand fleet sizes without procuring completely new equipment or restarting training regimens. In active environments, this interoperability fuses real-time data from disparate robotics to establish a comprehensive common operating picture. The setup accelerates decision-making and allows teams to deploy unmanned vehicles into high-risk areas before exposing personnel.
Validated Through U.S. Army and Special Forces Trials
The modular architecture also creates a path to scale autonomous defense manufacturing. By accelerating production of a shared smart core, defense teams can accommodate evolving vehicle types and mission requirements while maximizing equipment investments. The xPAIR platform and WingXpand’s related autonomous systems have already completed demonstrations alongside several U.S. Army events and multiple U.S. Special Forces teams.
