Cardinals Catcher Willson Contreras’ Suspension Reduced by MLB
St. Louis,MO – St. Louis Cardinals catcher Willson Contreras will serve a reduced suspension, beginning tonight, following an on-field incident. Major League Baseball has lessened the initial penalty, though Contreras will still be absent from the Cardinals lineup for multiple games, impacting the team’s pursuit of a Wild Card berth.

This absence forces the Cardinals’ coaching staff to adjust the lineup as they continue to fight for playoff contention in the National League.
