A supporter named Carmela, tuning in from Montreal, dedicated a heartfelt message to her late mother; having attended three of his concerts live, the mother spent her final moments on her deathbed streaming Sir Tom’s performances via television and YouTube. Meanwhile, will.i.am threw his weight behind the grassroots effort. The producer and artist collaborated on an Instagram post sharing Howlett’s campaign, adding an emotional endorsement reflecting his dismay over the departure.
